Meet the people behind Auckland House Inspection Services
A small independent inspection company, built on experience, technical knowledge, and direct personal service.
My name is Yuri Volna. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree and have worked in the Auckland house inspection industry for over 20 years. Together with Natalia, my business and life partner and a Certified Thermographer, we provide inspections for clients who want careful work, clear reporting, and direct communication with the people actually carrying out the inspection.
Our background includes years as owner-inspectors within a national franchise, where we grew from one Auckland territory to three. That experience gave us strong systems, broad market exposure, and a deep understanding of Auckland homes. Today, we operate independently so we can give clients a more personal, flexible, and accountable service.
We are not a volume-driven inspection company. We take the time to look carefully, use specialist instruments where they add value, and explain our findings in practical language. Our aim is not just to produce a report, but to help you understand the property and the next steps clearly.
All pre-purchase inspections are completed in accordance with NZS 4306:2005, and we hold full professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Scope of Work and Terms of Trade
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The Auckland House Inspection Services inspection is a current-condition, visual inspection of the elements inspected on that particular day only. There is no guarantee against the failure of any inspected component or system. The report should be seen as a reasonable attempt to identify any Significant Fault or Defect visible at the time of the visual inspection, rather than an all-encompassing report covering the home from every angle. Only areas and elements listed in the report were inspected. Our responsibility in this report is limited to the Client to whom it is addressed and to that Client only. In consideration for the provision of the inspection and report, you agree to the following terms:

Due Date: Payment is strictly due upon delivery of the report.

Overdue Accounts: Accounts unpaid by the due date will incur a late payment interest charge of 10% per calendar month on the total outstanding balance.

Recovery Costs: You agree to pay all administrative expenses, legal fees, and third-party debt collection costs incurred in recovering any overdue amounts.
We understand plans change, but out of consideration for our scheduling, the following fees apply to cancellations:

More than 48 Hours' Notice: No fee will be charged.

Less than 24 Hours of the Appointment: A cancellation fee of $200 plus GST will apply to cover administrative and scheduling adjustments.

Same-Day Cancellation (or after the inspector arrives on site): The full inspection fee will be charged.
